NCISAA Colonial Carolina (8 Man) recap October 8, 2013

Southampton Academy extended the longest winning streak in NCISAA Colonial Carolina (8 Man) this week by beating St. David's, 48-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.

Arendell Parrott Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jack Huddle threw for 85 and 1 touchdown and Caleb Quinn had 47 yards receiving. On the ground Chase Howard chipped in 204 yards. Devin Cregan helped Arendell Parrott Academy's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 20 yards.

Howard was a passing and rushing force as the Patriots beat Cary Christian. Howard's key target this week was Quinn, who caught 2 passes for 47 yards.

Huddle put up the best numbers through the air as Arendell Parrott Academy topped the Knights.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Matt Beaman's team's Huddle and Quinn have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Huddle has thrown for 462 yards this season, while Quinn has 20 catches for 456 yards. Hobgood Academy's Greg "GJ" Mullins leads the league in rushing yards with 1,559.

The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Patriots and Rocky Mount Academy. Arendell Parrott Academy comes into the matchup ranked fourth in the state, while the Eagles ranks third.

Halifax Academy led NCISAA Colonial Carolina (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 78 points on Word of God Christian Academy.
