Basketball Game Preview: College Park Cavaliers vs. New Caney Eagles

College Park is 4-0 against New Caney since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The College Park Cavaliers will look to defend their home court against the New Caney Eagles at 7:00 p.m. New Caney took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on College Park, who comes in off a win.

College Park will head into Tuesday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a 22-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They skirted past Willis 34-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cavaliers have posted since November 19th.

Meanwhile, New Caney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt an 89-20 defeat at the hands of Grand Oaks. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-10.

College Park will have to contain Ariel Obregon as she made an impact in New Caney's last game. She posted seven points.

New Caney's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for College Park, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Everything came up roses for College Park against New Caney when the teams last played back in February, as the squad secured a 52-21 victory. In that game, College Park amassed a halftime lead of 36-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
