Halifax Academy has gone 9-1 against Lawrence Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Vikings will take on the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Halifax Academy barely beat Harrells Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings' pitcher stepped up to hand the Crusaders a 13-0 shutout two weeks ago. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Payton Odom was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

Clair Ferebee made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Ferebee was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Caroline Halstead was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and three runs. Addie Phelps was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

The victory (which was Lawrence Academy's fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Halifax Academy, their record now sits at 8-11-1.
