Baseball Recap: Northview Find Success

While Northview put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Whitmer. The Wildcats skirted past the Panthers 1-0. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 9-8 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The result came thanks to Roman McKarus's shutout, as he gave up just five hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Northview is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Northview's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Conner Draper, who went 1-for-5 with one stolen base and one run.

Northview's record is now 7-10. As for Whitmer, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home.

Northview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
