Softball Game Preview: Carroll Eagles vs. Eufaula Tigers

Carroll is 2-8 against Eufaula since March of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Eagles will host the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Carroll managed to slip by Headland the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles came up short against the Rams on Tuesday, falling 12-2.

Mauri Anderson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Eufaula's offense. They lost 11-0 to Beulah on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost seven in a row.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Eufaula, their loss dropped their record down to 9-18.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Carroll has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Eufaula struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
