Football Game Preview: Newport Harbor Sailors vs. San Juan Hills Stallions + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Jake Meer and Timmy Herr are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Newport Harbor Sailors will welcome the San Juan Hills Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Saturday, Newport Harbor lost to Corona del Mar on the road by a 21-6 margin. The contest marked the Sailors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for San Juan Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Yorba Linda 41-17 on Friday. The Stallions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 21 points or more this season.

San Juan Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Luke Frith and Chase Mason. San Juan Hills got some further help from Roman Paseka: he picked up a sack, made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended one pass.

San Juan Hills pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 34.9 points this season. As for Newport Harbor, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
