Oakcrest came out on top against Lower Cape May on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Falcons narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 11-9. 11 seems to be a good number for the Falcons as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The victory made it two in a row for Oakcrest and bumps their season record up to 4-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Lower Cape May, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakcrest will host Paulsboro at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lower Cape May, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Timber Creek Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
