Baseball Recap: St. Michael's Comes Up Short

St. Michael was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-2 to the Central Catholic Buttons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buttons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 last Tuesday.

St. Michael's saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

St. Michael's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Central Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5-1.

While St. Michael's had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
