Basketball Game Preview: Vandegrift Vipers vs. Round Rock Westwood Warriors

The Vandegrift Vipers will head out to take on the Round Rock Westwood Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vandegrift will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Friday, Vandegrift was able to grind out a solid victory over Hutto, taking the game 53-46. Given the Vipers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Hippos are ranked 635th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Round Rock Westwood's undefeated season came to an end after 23 games on Friday. They were dealt an 88-59 loss at the hands of Stony Point. The loss put an end to the Warriors' undefeated start to the season.

Vandegrift has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Round Rock Westwood, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-1.
