Thomas Henderson leads a balanced attack to beat Strong Rock Christian

Recap: Brookstone Cougars vs. Strong Rock Christian Patriots

The Brookstone Cougars entered their tilt with the Strong Rock Christian Patriots with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Brookstone came out on top against Strong Rock Christian by a score of 45-35 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Brookstone also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brookstone to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas Henderson, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Chapman Dykes was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Strong Rock Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zack Phillips. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with three steals. That was a full 62.9% of Strong Rock Christian's points, marking the 15th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Brookstone's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. As for Strong Rock Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 14-2.

Brookstone will head out on the road to challenge Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Heritage focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Monday. As for Strong Rock Christian, they will be playing at home against St. Mary's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 486th, while Strong Rock Christian is ranked 156th).
