The Francis Scott Key Eagles were the 63-59 winner over the Williamsport Wildcats when they last played one another back in January of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Francis Scott Key received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 73-54 to Williamsport.
Williamsport's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ceonta Wilmore, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Charles, who scored 19 points.
Francis Scott Key's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Williamsport, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
Francis Scott Key will square off against Southern at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Williamsport, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Brunswick at 4:00 p.m.
