Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tualatin). Everything went their way against the Lakeridge Pacers on Friday as they made off with a 28-1 victory. The Timberwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.
Reese Strode made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
Tualatin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
With the win, Tualatin broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-10. As for Lakeridge, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-17.
