Calvary Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They really took it to the Belen Jesuit Wolverines for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-11 victory. The Eagles pushed the score to 35-3 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolverines cut but never quite recovered from.

Calvary Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jackson Stroud led the charge by throwing for 180 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Ganter, who picked up 104 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Coming up, Calvary Christian Academy is headed away from home for the first time to face off against NSU University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Belen Jesuit, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Hialeah at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Wolverines' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
