Baseball Recap: North Florida Christian Comes Up Short

North Florida Christian and St. Johns Country Day squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but North Florida Christian had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 8-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost five in a row.

Brigs Sparkman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of North Florida Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 7-17 when he doesn't).

North Florida Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-18. As for St. Johns Country Day, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-8.
