Soccer Game Preview: Fleming vs. Lord Botetourt

Fleming hasn't had much luck against Lord Botetourt recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Colonels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Fleming has given up an average of 4.3 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fleming fell victim to Northside and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 5-0. Fleming have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lord Botetourt can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They and William Byrd finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Lord Botetourt's first draw of the season.

Fleming's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. Lord Botetourt's draw makes their record 1-4-1 this season.

Fleming suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Lord Botetourt in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Colonels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
