Softball Recap: San Marcos Comes Up Short

San Marcos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-3 to the Johnson Jaguars, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in March.

San Marcos' defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Johnson, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-11.

Coming up, San Marcos will host Clemens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rattlers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buffaloes have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Johnson, they will venture away from home to take on Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
