 The Pilgrim Academy Pioneers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Atlantic Christian Cougars at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Pilgrim Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8  runs per game  this season.
 Last Monday, The Pilgrim Academy came up short against King's Christian  and fell  7-4. The Pilgrim Academy has not had much luck with King's Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
  Noah Brittin put in work no matter where he played. He  pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   one  hit. Brittin has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. Brittin was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Brittin wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Ayden Miller, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Atlantic Christian had to endure  a  three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let Cumberland Christian onto the board and left with  a   25-0  win  on Tuesday. Atlantic Christian's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Like The Pilgrim Academy, Atlantic Christian also got a great game from a two-way player:  Charlie Costello. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). Costello was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Atlantic Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Ethan Costello, who  got on base  in all five of his plate appearances with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and four  RBI.  Aiden Martin was another key contributor,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with four  runs, four  RBI,  and a  stolen base.
 The Pilgrim Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Atlantic Christian, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging  on Friday. The Pilgrim Academy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season,  having  averaged 0.5  home runs per game. However, it's not like Atlantic Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 0.6. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
 Everything went The Pilgrim Academy's way against Atlantic Christian in their previous meeting  two weeks ago as The Pilgrim Academy made off with  an  11-1 victory.
