After losing to Cate the last time they met, Thacher decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The stars were shining brightly for the Thacher Toads in a 63-49 win over the Cate Rams on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Toads.

Thacher's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Cate, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.

Thacher will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Villanova Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Thacher is facing Villanova Prep at the right time seeing as Villanova Prep is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Cate, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bishop Diego at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cate will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Bishop Diego will have lost three straight heading into Wednesday's matchup.
