Vermilion Catholic had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 47-19 victory over the Highland Baptist Christian Bears. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 28 points or more this season.

Vermilion Catholic pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.3 points per game. As for Highland Baptist Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Vermilion Catholic will welcome Ascension Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Highland Baptist Christian, they will take on Westminster Christian Academy on Friday.
