Basketball Game Preview: Dorman Cavaliers vs. Gaffney Indians

Dorman and Gaffney are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Dorman Cavaliers will venture away from home to square off against the Gaffney Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Dorman sitting on five straight wins and Gaffney on 14.

Dorman is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 85-51 victory over Spartanburg. The Cavaliers pushed the score to 60-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Vikings had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Gaffney didn't have too much trouble with James F. Byrnes on Tuesday as they won 69-55.

Dorman has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Gaffney, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-0.

Dorman and Gaffney were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but Dorman came up empty-handed after a 48-47 defeat. Can Dorman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
