Football Recap: Summit Piles Up the Points Against Fontana

Summit came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 34-0 victory over the Fontana Steelers. Given the SkyHawks' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Steelers are ranked 557th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Summit's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Fontana, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Summit will challenge rival Jurupa Hills at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The match will give the SkyHawks their first taste of in-conference action this season. Meanwhile, Fontana is set to take on their familiar foe Rim of the World at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
