Football Recap: North Broward Prep Eagles vs. American Heritage Stallions
North Broward Prep dropped to 2-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They lost 49-24 to the American Heritage Stallions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 42-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.
Ralph Diaz and Braxton Bylow certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Diaz threw for 211 yards and a pair of TDs, while Bylow picked up 47 receiving yards and two scores. Joshua Sylvain also helped out with an impressive 103 receiving yards.
As for American Heritage, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.5 points on average this season.
A big part of American Heritage's victory came down to the chemistry between Marcus Stracke and his top target Miles Rose. Stracke threw for 324 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.1 yards per attempt while Rose picked up 195 receiving yards and three TDs. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Rose a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jamar Dean, who rushed for 135 yards on only 11 carries.
Coming up, North Broward Prep will head out to square off against Saint Andrew's at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for American Heritage, they will be playing at home against King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
