Basketball Recap: Incarnate Word Academy Angels vs. John Paul II Centurions
Make it 15 blowout wins for the Incarnate Word Academy Angels this season. They blew past John Paul II 65-43. The victory was nothing new for Incarnate Word Academy as they're now sitting on five straight.
Incarnate Word Academy's win on Monday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Romanczyk, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. Romanczyk is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last five games she's played. Lily Herandez was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Incarnate Word Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 30-6 record this season. As for John Paul II, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.
