Volleyball Recap: Academy of Notre Dame Lancers vs. Millis Mohawks
After flying high against Prospect Hill Academy last Friday, Academy of Notre Dame came back down to earth. The Academy of Notre Dame Lancers lost 3-0 to the Millis Mohawks on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Thursday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-14, 25-7.
Grace Logan paced Academy of Notre Dame's offense, picking up five kills. Logan got some help from
Arianny Kingsley and her eight assists. Kingsley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Academy of Notre Dame has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season. As for Millis, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.
Academy of Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Millis, they will square off against Sutton/Douglas at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
