Softball Recap: Daviess County Has No Trouble Against Owensboro

While Daviess County put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Owensboro. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Red Devils. Considering the Panthers have won 13 games by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Briley Henry, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last five matches. Sadie Morris was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Daviess County's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Owensboro, they dropped their record down to 9-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Daviess County will face off against Hancock County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Owensboro, they will head out to take on Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
