Volleyball Recap: Coconut Creek Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Coconut Creek can now relate to. They came up short against the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-5, 25-4.

Leading Dr. Joaquin Garcia to victory were Sophia Hagerty and Sophia Bui. Hagerty had five aces and two assists, while Bui had seven assists and four aces. That's the most assists Hagerty has posted since back in September.

Coconut Creek's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-8.

Coconut Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Atlantic on the 16th.
