Burlington Christian Academy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles as they made off with a 10-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Royals, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Burlington Christian Academy got a great performance from Will Grubb as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 5.1 innings pitched. Grubb has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Davis Phillips, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Cooper Kelly, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Burlington Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocky Mount Academy only posted an OBP of .222.

Burlington Christian Academy's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Rocky Mount Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

As for Rocky Mount Academy, they will square off against Grace Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
