Basketball Recap: Webutuck Comes Up Short

Webutuck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 58-48 to the Dover Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-23 back in December of 2024.

Dover was led to victory by Kayden Brinson and Caden Green. Brinson dropped a double-double with 20 points and 18 rebounds, while Green dropped a double-double with 18 points and 18 boards. Brinson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jaishaun Fergson, who posted four points along with eight boards and four steals.

Webutuck's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Dover, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.

Webutuck has already played their next game (against Housatonic-Lakeview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Dover, they will face off against Millbrook at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Dover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.
