Fort Thomas takes down Patagonia in a playoff battle

The Fort Thomas Apaches had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against Patagonia on Tuesday as Fort Thomas made off with a 51-30 win. Fort Thomas has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Fort Thomas found their leader in underclassman Jamie Johnson, who scored 14 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Adaia Lorenzo, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

Fort Thomas' victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Patagonia, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10.

Fort Thomas will be playing at home against Mogollon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Thomas is facing Mogollon at the right time seeing as Mogollon is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Patagonia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
