Softball Recap: Apollo Takes a Loss

If Apollo was feeling good fresh off their 13-1 takedown of Franklin-Simpson on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Henderson County Colonels on Tuesday, falling 11-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 9, 2024.

Apollo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddi Roberts, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Roberts has brought in this season.

Apollo's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13-1. As for Henderson County, they pushed their record up to 26-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Apollo will venture away from home to face off against Bowling Green at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Henderson County, they will be taking part in a tournament against Great Crossing on Friday.
