Baseball Recap: Hardee Wildcats vs. Lakeland Dreadnaughts

Hardee won against Clewiston last Friday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Hardee Wildcats had just enough and edged the Lakeland Dreadnaughts out 4-3. The victory was familiar territory for Hardee who now have four in a row.

Kellon Lindsey was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

On Lakeland's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Miller, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Lakeland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hardee only posted a batting average of .192.

Hardee's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. As for Lakeland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-5.

Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing DeSoto County the next time they take the field. Lakeland will host DeSoto County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hardee will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
