Football Game Preview: Hutchinson-Central Tech Engineers vs. Orchard Park Quakers

The Hutchinson-Central Tech Engineers will head out on the road to square off against the Orchard Park Quakers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hutchinson-Central Tech hasn't scored more than 13 points for nine games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Hutchinson-Central Tech is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Fredonia on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Engineers had to suffer through a 40-12 loss at the hands of the Hillbillies. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Meanwhile, Orchard Park waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Wolverines 26-0. The result was nothing new for the Quakers, who have now won five games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Orchard Park pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.6 points on average over those games. As for Hutchinson-Central Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Hutchinson-Central Tech was taken down by Orchard Park 34-0 when the teams last played on Monday. Can the Engineers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
