Mississinawa Valley came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with ten straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Newton Local Indians as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

One reason for the win was Mississinawa Valley's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Ava Hummel, who had seven digs and two assists. Those two assists gave her a new career-high. Maia Wisner also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Mississinawa Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Newton Local lost, don't look at Mya Denlinger. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and three assists. Denlinger has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Mississinawa Valley's record now sits at 11-1. As for Newton Local, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-6.

Mississinawa Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Arcanum on the 18th. As for Newton Local, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Dixie on the 18th.
