Baseball Recap: GRACE Christian's Win Ends 11-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask GRACE Christian). They never let the Fayetteville Christian Warriors get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Tuesday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Thomas Bradley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Bradley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, GRACE Christian let Cooper Bachman and Landon Shiley run wild. Bachman went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run, while Shiley scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those four RBI gave Bachman a new career-high. Conner Tack was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

GRACE Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.

GRACE Christian's win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for Fayetteville Christian, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, GRACE Christian will head out to take on Thales Academy Rolesville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fayetteville Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Village Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m.
