Crater came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Springfield Millers get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Comets this season.

Crater's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Springfield, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.

Crater will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Millers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
