C1 District 3 recap December 3, 2013

Ashland-Greenwood fell to Cozad 47-21 last week, the largest margin of any game. Gunnar Garner was a bright spot for the Bluejays, as he threw for 266 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 29 yards in the defeat.

The longest pass in the league this week came courtesy of Ashland-Greenwood's Garner. Ryan Thompson's team fell to the Haymakers when he connected with Tyler Craven on a 51-yard throw and catch.

The Bluejays' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Garner contributed 29 yards. Trevor Nichelson helped Ashland-Greenwood's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 40 yards.

He went 19-42 with 3 interceptions.

Craven was the best receiver in C1 District 3 this week as Ashland-Greenwood fell to Cozad. Craven tallied 11 receptions for 170 yards. Nichelson helped Ashland-Greenwood's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 40 yards.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Sam Isaacson. The Raymond Central star has 47 catches for 821 yards.

In 136 carries Colin Sabatka has put up 978 yards this year.

The Bluejays led the league in points allowed with 47.
