Baseball Recap: Mount Si's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mount Si entered their tilt with Issaquah on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jayce Riden looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Taylor Davis was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Matthew Talbot, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Mount Si's record now sits at 5-2-1. As for Issaquah, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Mount Si will square off against Lake Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Issaquah, they will face off against Battle Ground at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Issaquah 2.4, Battle Ground 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
