Softball Recap: Green Bay Preble Picks Up Seventh Straight Win on the Road

Green Bay Preble won against Notre Dame Academy on Monday with 19 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Hornets didn't even let the Sheboygan South Redwings on the board, marking the Hornets' second-straight 19-0 shutout. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Redwings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Katie Geydoshek was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Ella Cotter was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sam Foytik, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Green Bay Preble kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive games.
