Basketball Recap: Crockett Comes Up Short

Crockett lost against Cedar Creek back in November of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crockett Cougars had to suffer through a 85-44 loss at the hands of the Cedar Creek Eagles. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cedar Creek was led to victory by Kenji Franklin and Phineas Koplin. Franklin dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 boards, while Koplin went 9 of 13 en route to 23 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Koplin a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Nomar Ruvalcaba, who posted ten points.

Crockett's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Cedar Creek, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Crockett will welcome Anderson at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cedar Creek, they will challenge Bastrop at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.2 points per game this season.
