Baseball Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-4 to the Mount Horeb Vikings. The Cheesemakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Monroe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Meier, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Mount Horeb, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Monroe will face off against Whitewater at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount Horeb, they will head out to square off against Baraboo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
