             Greenbrier didn't have done well against Grovetown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. The Greenbrier Wolfpack strolled past the Grovetown Warriors with  points to spare, taking the game  28-14. The score was all tied up  14-14 at the break, but the Wolfpack were the (much) better team in the second half.
 Among those leading the charge was   Brayden Stephens, who threw for 128 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was  Craige Johnson, who picked up 47 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Greenbrier's win  ended  a  six-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 1-1. As for Grovetown,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
 Greenbrier will have plenty of time to enjoy the  victory as they don't play again for a while. They'll take on Statesboro at 7:30  p.m.  on September 6th. As for Grovetown, they will venture away from home to  square off against Evans  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
