Volleyball Recap: Lawrence-Nelson Raiders vs. Franklin Flyers
Lawrence-Nelson lost against Franklin back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raiders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flyers.
While Lawrence-Nelson was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-23.
Brynn Harrison paced Lawrence-Nelson's offense, picking up nine kills. Harrison got some help from Maddy Laughlin and her six assists. Finally, Harrison was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Lawrence-Nelson dropped their record down to 6-21 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Franklin, they moved to 11-14 with that victory, which also ended their five-match losing streak.
Coincidentally, Lawrence-Nelson and Franklin will both be playing Giltner the next time they take the court. The Flyers will host the Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
