Highlighted by National Freshman of the Year Kyree Walker of Moreau Catholic (Hayward, Calif.), MaxPreps presents the 2016-17 Freshman All-American Team.

Selections are based on team success, individual production and local, regional and state honors from the recently completed season. Potential at the college and professional level is not a primary consideration. Players in post-graduate or non-scholastic programs are not eligible for inclusion.

Jalen Green, San Joaquin Memorial (Fresno, Calif.)

Panthers reached section title game and piled up 26 wins behind Green, who averaged 18.1 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

Jamal Mashburn Jr., Gulliver Prep (Miami, Fla.)
