Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fruitland). Everything went their way against the McCall-Donnelly Vandals on Wednesday as they made off with a 24-1 win. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by eight runs or more this season.

Quinn Hood was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Titus Vidlak was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Fruitland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .675. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in eight consecutive matchups.

Fruitland pushed their record up to 18-0 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 12.7 runs this season. As for McCall-Donnelly, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Fruitland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-9 victory against Kimberly on the 18th. As for McCall-Donnelly, they will head out on the road to challenge Payette at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vandals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
