Truman came tearing into Friday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 59.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bronx High School of Science Wolverines 55-31. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Wolverines are ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Truman pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.4 points per game. As for Bronx High School of Science, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Truman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-34 loss against Rosedale Christian Academy on the 19th. As for Bronx High School of Science, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Columbus at 4:30 p.m. on January 28th.
