Baseball Game Preview: Walter Panas Panthers vs. Arlington Admirals

The Walter Panas Panthers will challenge the Arlington Admirals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Walter Panas is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Walter Panas is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Westlake get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Panthers with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Arlington made sure to put some runs up on the board against Hendrick Hudson on Wednesday. The Admirals were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Sailors. Considering the Admirals have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Billy Cummings looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

He has become a key player for Arlington: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Griffin White was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Arlington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Walter Panas pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Arlington, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5.
