Baseball Recap: West St. John Comes Up Short

After flying high against Carver Collegiate Academy on Friday, West St. John came back down to earth. The Rams fell just short of the South Plaquemines Hurricanes by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered since April 15, 2024.

West St. John has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for South Plaquemines, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West St. John will venture away from home to challenge Maurepas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Plaquemines, they will head out to face off against Booker T. Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
