Soccer Recap: Colusa Drops Season-High Score on Corning

Colusa scored the most goals they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corning Cardinals. While losing is never fun, Colusa can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 329th, while Corning are ranked eighth).

Lucio Preciado wasn't going to let Corning walk away unscathed as he scored both of Colusa's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Colusa and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Corning, their record is now 5-0.

Coming up, Colusa will be home for the holidays to greet Gridley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corning, they will be taking part in a tournament against Rio Linda at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
