Football Recap: Brophy College Prep Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Brophy College Prep faced Hamilton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Broncos were dealt a 70-33 loss at the hands of the Huskies. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.

Despite the loss, Brophy College Prep still got an impressive performance from Devin Fitzgerald, who picked up 234 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Fitzgerald showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 64 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Case Vanden Bosch, who threw for 279 yards and three TDs.

Hamilton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Brown, who rushed for 130 yards and four scores. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Brown a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jax Sculley, who threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt.

Brophy College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hamilton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brophy College Prep will welcome Red Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mountain Lions' defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so the Broncos' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Hamilton, they will be playing at home against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
