Softball Recap: Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders vs. Garner Trojans
Cardinal Gibbons lost against Garner back in March of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders came up short against the Garner Trojans, falling 15-4. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bridget Mazzo and Katie Scavone did some serious damage despite the final result: Mazzo went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI, while Scavone went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Scavone's first of the season.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Cardinal Gibbons lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
